COMPASSIONATE AND QUALITY CARE

Silver Creek AFH is a family-run home committed to provide only the best care. Our home is operated by a husband and wife RN Duo. The owners' combined experience as critical care nurses, taking care of people at their sickest and most vulnerable, drive their desire to be the resident's best advocate.

24-HOUR CARE

Silver Creek AFH strives to offer the best senior living in Puyallup and neighboring communities. Qualified staff are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to attend to all of our community members’ personal and healthcare needs. We understand that additional assistance may be required, and that’s okay - it’s the reason we’re here. Families can rest assured as our caregivers are regularly delegated with any new medication our residents use. As experienced ICU nurses, the owners are always ready to take on medically intensive care for their residents.

ADEQUATE STAFFING

We take pride in going the extra mile to create a warm and nurturing environment for our residents, and having a dedicated nighttime caregiver is just one of the many ways we achieve this goal. Moreover, we deeply understand the importance of maintaining appropriate staffing levels and nursing support to provide the absolute best care for our residents.

Our team of caregivers is encouraged to invoke the chain of command and ask for help when the situation calls for it. An RN is available 24/7 should there be any concern at any given time. Having a sufficient number of well-trained staff members is key to ensuring a prompt response to emergencies, reducing the risk of accidents, and meeting residents' needs effectively and timely.

EFFECTIVE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

As an RN-owned and operated adult family home, regular medication reviews and ongoing assessments play a crucial role in maintaining the health and happiness of our residents. Our team works diligently to ensure that any changes or adjustments in medications are carefully considered and discussed with healthcare professionals and our residents' families. As DSHS-contracted RN Delegators, we strictly adhere to current best practices, and our caregivers follow up-to-date protocols for medication administration, as well as storing medicines correctly, maintaining accurate documentation, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals.

Certain medications and tasks for certain residents need to be delegated by a Registered Nurse before a caregiver can administer and/or perform them. Being delegators ourselves, these tasks are initiated promptly, therefore avoiding a delay in care.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

With our DSHS-approved OJT Program, our staff members undergo regular training and participate in ongoing education to stay up to date with the latest infection control policies, safety protocols, and best practices. We believe that continuous learning and improvement are essential to maintaining a high standard.

EMPLOYEE COMPETENCE AND SATISFACTION

We also recognize that the well-being of our residents depends on building strong and meaningful relationships with and among our staff members. That's why we strive to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, empathy, and compassion; while also keeping each other accountable by strictly adhering to our core values. This, in turn, attracts many qualified caregivers and retains only committed and competent caregivers and that translates into better care and a happier living experience for our residents.

We employ award-winning caregivers who exemplify compassionate care and who selflessly provide excellent care to our cherished residents. See link below:
